What Happens to Your Brain During Sports Training or Competition?

You can’t just think about your movement and your strategies, you have to actually do it. So the goal here is for you to get through your block, because you could be thinking all day long.

To get rid of the mental baggage, the junk, all the negativity, and all the things that basically hold you back and slow you down.  Let’s take the analogy of a ship going across the ocean. It is like dragging an anchor and you are not going to be able to go as fast as you want. You are trying to get from point A to point B (point B is you playing your best).

All sorts of interference are the stuff that acts like an anchor and holds you back. I find it really helps to explain to all my athletes, and this one I taught to my little kids (athletes) in little kids language.
